Om Telolet Om! |
Om Telolet Om has invaded the Twitter and many people still confused by it. "What does Om telolet om" mean? - asked the Chainsmokers. So I'll try to explain it as simple as I can.
Om Telolet Om (Pronounciation : Om=Om , Telolet = Tell O Let, Tellolet) is Indonesian phrase by kids when asking bus driver to honk their arpeggiated horn. Om telolet om literally means "Sir, Honk the Horn, Sir". Om mean Sir/uncle and telolet is the sound of the horn that kids heard. Everytime their request been fulfilled by the driver, they will cheer and some videos of kids shouting to bus driver to honk the horn went viral in Indonesia on November 2016.
You can find more articles on Billboard about this Om telolet om phenomenon. (or twitter, LoL).
That is my explanation about Om telolet om.
Why it became viral now? For that, I don't know.
